This notice aims to help customers identify potential counterfeits and take the necessary steps to ensure they are using only authentic, clinically proven Nourkrin® products.
Packaging Box
On the front of the box, the counterfeit box displays several key differences: the white background tone is noticeably more yellowish than the authentic version, the “Gold Medal” emblem is overly reflective and lacks the original’s matte finish, andthe print quality is inferior, with smudging and faded ink—particularly around the dosage and quantity area—resulting in an overall unclean look.
On the back of the box, the counterfeit packaging can be identified by a yellowish tint in the white background, a noticeably darker font compared to the authentic box’s soft grey tone, and an excessively glossy finish—particularly over highlighted sections—which causes glare and makes the text difficult to read under light.
At the side of the box, the counterfeit packaging shows several red flags: the barcode lines and text differ noticeably from the authentic version, the lot number and expiry date are printed in a blurred grey font—despite using the same batch number (“232200B”) as the genuine product—but with an unusually extended expiry date, and the overall font colour is black instead of the soft grey used on authentic packaging.
Blister Pack
On the blister pack, the counterfeit product displays several telltale signs: the “HAIR GROWTH+ by Nourkrin” logo is irregularly printed with overly dark and blotchy font, and the spacing between logos is inconsistent, with some appearing distorted or stretched—unlike the authentic foil, which shows clean, uniform placement. The blister domes on the counterfeit are also misaligned and vary in size, causing uneven spacing and a rattling sound when shaken. Additionally, the aluminium foil has a shiny, overly reflective surface, whereas the authentic version has a more refined matte or satin finish.
Tablets
The counterfeit tablet shows several key differences from the authentic version: it is noticeably lighter in colour, appears flatter and less uniformly round, and has a glossier, uneven coating. In contrast, authentic tablets have a consistent darker brown tone, uniform shape and size, and a smooth matte or satin finish that reflects pharmaceutical-grade quality.
Solubility Test
Besides, a simple solubility test revealed a clear difference in dissolution behaviour, as shown in the picture below: the authentic tablet begins disintegrating within 30 seconds and fully dissolves by 5 minutes with light pressing, whereas the counterfeit tablet shows only partial dissolution of the outer coating with minimal colour release, remaining intact at the core even after 5 minutes and pressing.
